The Founder
Alexander James is the director and founder of Alexander James Watch Services Ltd (AJWSL). After achieving a first class honours degree in Horology (watchmaking) from Birmingham’s prestigious School of Jewellery, Alex went on to develop his skills and expertise under the tutelage of master watchmaker, Roy Hancock. He then lectured part-time in Horology at the School of Jewellery, passing on his expertise to the next generation of watchmakers.

Alexander James was founded with quality at the heart of everything we do. All watches that leave our workshop have a 12 month warranty, after being serviced by our highly skilled watchmakers. As a modern, independent watchmakers, we pride ourselves on offering a full end-to-end experience, from a no-obligation estimate, to providing regular updates on progress until the return of your watch. We value every individual customer and provide you with an experience you will want to recommend.

Our Shop
When you buy a watch through AJWSL, you are buying quality. Every watch we sell is authenticated and serviced in our workshop by our team of highly trained watchmakers. Although many dealers may offer a 12 month warranty, because we have serviced each watch ourselves, we are confident in the condition of the timepiece we are selling.
All our watches come in a high-quality presentation box, with an information pack, including a guide to your watch, photos of the service and a 12 month warranty card.
